Adding ten to any number
Investigation took place today to determine what happens to the digits on a hundreds chart when adding 10 to any number. After careful work we decided that when any number is added to 10 the number in the ones place remains the same and the tens place increases by 1 or 10. Children were then writing in their math journal to explain to one of our friends when was away today what we discovered and why it is important.
